To minimise our impact on the environment Atlantic Recycling has invested in specialist equipment to transform un-recyclable items into waste fuels. This enables us to create refuse derived fuels (RDF) and specialised solid recovered fuels (SRF) for energy power plants and cement kilns. The benefits of this process on the environment is twofold; firstly, these types of fuels replace the use of fossil fuels at these large scale power plants. Secondly, it avoids any unrecoverable waste ending up as landfill.
